"When I walked into Belmont Chiropractic, the staff was very compassionate and professional. Dr. Novotny was also very dedicated. At first, Dr. Novotny had me get adjusted two times a day. Soon I was down to being adjusted once a day and now I come in every other week to maintain proper alignment. After 4 months the pain had decreased significantly. I now have greater flexibility, too. I tell everyone I know about chiropractic, including my brother and father who come here also. My brother came in for pain and stiffness in his neck. He now has increased flexibility and fewer headaches. I recommend anyone who has stiffness or pain to sit down with Dr. Novotny for a consultation and exam. "In 2003, I was diagnosed with a mircoadenoma on my pituitary gland. I was given medication to help with that, but to no avail with my symptoms. With this new diagnosis combined with my previous diagnosis of hypothyroidism in High School, I felt as though I could hardly make it through my days. I was severely fatigued by the end of the day and was diagnosed with hypoglycemia in 2003 also, so this was a huge challenge for me. Between the years of 2003 and 2008 I had developed severe allergies to different foods and at one point was on a liquid diet. I had heard about Dr. Novotny through a friend and I thought that I would give him a try. Upon seeing him, I was given hope once again that I would get better. "I had bulged disks at L4 & L5 and some bulging in others causing pain. It turned out that I was a good candidate for the treatment (Spinal Decompression) and that it should relieve the pain once completed. Dr. Mauch and the rest of the crew treated me very professionally and with great care throughout the 30 decompression treatments. At Belmont Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Novotny believes in being very thorough and leaves no stone unturned to relieve pain. Every appointment began with back and neck adjustment performed by Dr. Mauch and then on to the decompression table for anywhere between 15-25 minutes. This feels awesome, by the way, while it is going. The session concludes with a back roll, myotomes, laser treatment and detoxification footbath. M pain level when I entered was an 8(out of 10), but by the 15th session I remained at a 4-5 pain level for quite some time. From session 15-23, I went from a 4-5 to a 2-3 on the pain scale. The last 7 (sessions), 1 a week brought the pain down to a 1 and I finished with the decompression. I can sleep in any position again also with no pain! Id say on average the pain level is a .3 overall. I would suggest this to anyone that has a related issue with his or her back. I believe in my heart that medical doctors and insurance companies should support this treatment of Decompression and send patients to have it performed before suggesting ANY SURGERY. Success without surgery is a true discovery that should be recognized and I support the profession of chiropractic 100%. I go to NO OTHER doctors, only chiropractic. Thank you and God bless."
