Dr. Gallagher and Dr. Lloyd practice both traditional and modern chiropractic techniques. When traditional chiropractic techniques are too aggressive for acute low back or neck pain, Dr.’s Gallagher and Lloyd choose a more conservative traction technique called Flexion-Distraction and Cox Spinal Decompression. Using a specialized table that bends in the middle and lengthens, they rely on leverage, instead of force, to gently restore range of motion to the vertebrae or reduce a disc herniation. This technique, developed almost 40 years ago and recently modified and taught in nearly all chiropractic colleges, is proven safe and highly effective.
